- New Guy
- Manufacturing Engineer
Hi! I guess I am the new guy here at Micron! I have been working in the manufacturing world for 19 years in the automotive, aerospace, and pattern making industries and have had the privilege of working with some great people and companies. I started out working as an entry level machinist and worked my way through the ranks, eventually landing as a Manufacturing Engineer. I quickly moved through the departments from the manual machines, through the automatics, and finally landing in the CNC Machining department. I like the fact that I had the privilege to learn from the “old boys” and still got to have the advantage of technology on my side. It’s still amazing to me how well the old integrates with the new. My education is somewhat unique in that I went to Western Michigan University and I hold a B.B.A but work as a Manufacturing Engineer! My role here at Micron in essence is a simple one, and that is to make manufacturing methods that are fast, reliable, and repeatable. While at the same time cutting out waste, controlling costs and maintaining a high quality product! Sounds simple, huh?
Personally, when I am not working here at Micron I spend a lot of my time bowling, golfing, and playing some softball.
